Composition:
100g. of syrup contains:
Active components:
liquid extract of thyme herb (Thymus vulgaris) (1:2-2,5; extraction agent by DAB 10*) 15g.;
liquid extract of ivy leaves (Hedera helix) (1:1; extraction agent: ethanol 70% volume in volume) 1,5g.;
ethanol content: 7% (volume in volume).
Auxiliary components: purified water, Maltitol Liquid, potassium sorbate, citric acid monohydrate.

Description: bright aromatic liquid of light-brown color. Light precipitation is possible in the process of the storage.

Pharmacotherapeutic group: expectorant drug of vegetative origin.
Code ATX: R05CA10.

Pharmacological properties: preparation produces expectorant, anti-inflammatory, secretolytic, broncholytic effect; it is conductive to decrease of stickiness of begma and precipitation of its evacuation.

Indications for use:
it is applied as expectorant drug at the treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, which are accompanied with cough and begma (tracheitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchitis).

Contra indications: hyper sensibility to the components of the preparation, child age (up to 3 months). It is not recommended to apply this preparation at alcoholism, epilepsy, hepar diseases and diseases and traumas of cerebral cortex, because of presence of ethanol.

Application during pregnancy and breast-feeding period: it is not recommended to apply preparation during the period of pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Posology and method of administration: it is applied orally after meals.
Application according to age: children from 3 up to 12 months apply 10-16 drops three times a day; children elder than 1 year apply 17 drops (adding 3 drops to the each additional year) 3 times a day.
Application according to weight: children from 3 months up to 12 months apply 10-16 drops 3 times a day; children elder than 1 year apply drops three times a day (general number of drops=1 drop to 1 kilo of body mass+10 drops).

If the body mass significantly differs from the indicated age category in the table, then the application of the preparation have to be oriented only to the body mass of the patient.

Application with the enclosed graduated glass:
children from 3 up to 12 months - 1,1 ml. 3 times a day;
children from 1 to 2 years - 2,2 ml. 3 times a day;
children from 2 to 6 years - 3,2 ml. 3 times a day;
children from 6 to 12 years - 4,3 ml. 3 times a day;
adolescent from 12 years and adults - 5,4 ml. 3 times a day.
It is recommended to drink non-diluted syrup Bronchipret with water. Treatment course is 10-14 days. It is possible to prolong the course or to have repeated ones only on the recommendations of the physician.

Side effects: allergic response is possible.

Overdosage: aches in the area of stomach, vomiting, diarrhea is possible at overdosage.

Interaction with other medication: it is not recommended to apply syrup Bronchipret together with antitussive preparation and also with medicaments, which decrease the development of begma, because it complicates expectoration of diluted begma. The combination with antibacterial medicine is possible.

Special remarks:
It is recommended to consult a physician, if the symptoms do not disappeared in 10-14 days. Preparation consists of 7% of ethanol (volume in volume). Maximum recommended single dosage of 5,4 ml. Of preparation for adults consists of 0,297 of alcohol. It is required for children to apply this preparation carefully (because of possible negative influence of ethanol). It is possible to indicate this preparation to the patients with pancreatic diabetes, because the single dosage contains less than 0,03 of considered bread units. It is possible for Bronchipret to become turbid during prolong storage, but it does not influence on its efficiency. Shake the bottle before application.

Form of issue: syrup is in bottles of dark glass by 50 and 100 ml. with measuring device by drop infusion, with screw lid with resistance ring and dose-measuring cup on the top, it is placed into fold cardboard pack together with prescription.

Storage conditions: keep in dry and shadowed place, at temperature up to 25оС; keep away from children.

Expire date: 3 years. Do not use preparation if the expiry date (month and year) printed on the pack has passed.
