The Noncommercial Organization "Professional Association of Naturotherapists" was an initiator of the dialogue among the specialists of traditional medicine, the representatives of medical science, the practical public health, and the members of the Russian Orthodox Church.

On 22-23th of October, 2010, in Moscow, there will be held the first conference "Traditional Medicine and Orthodoxy" at which it is expected to be discussed the historical and modern aspects of application of different trends of traditional medicine (phytotherapy, homeopathy, reflexotherapy, etc.) in the scope of existing legal field of the Russian Federation.

The co-chairpersons of the Conference Organising Committee are the Senior secretary of the Synodal Department for church charity and social service to the Russian Orthodox Church - Father Superior, Seraphim (Kravchenko), and the president of the NO "Professional Association of Naturotherapists" - Professor, Kiseleva Tatyana Leonidovna.
In the Conference work there will participate the chairman of the Synodal Department for relations between the Church and the Moscow Patriarchate Community - archpriest, Vsevolod Chaplin, the rector of the Russian St. Ioann (John) Bogoslov Orthodox Institute - Father Superior, Peter (Eremeyev).

The conference aim declared by the organizers - is the encouragement of development of professional communications, contacts, and exchange of the best practices among the specialists in the field of integrative medicine.

At the conference, there was expected to deepen the understanding of methods and principles of medical treatment accepted in society of traditional medicine specialists, and also to work out the concerted position regarding the medical assistance with a help of official preparations and methods of traditional medicine.

Within the scope of the Annual Autumn Scientific Session of the Professional Association of Naturotherapists, simultaneously with the Conference, there will be held the II-nd Russian Phytotherapeutic Congress, the scientific-practical conference "The homeopathy in the modern clinical practice" and the exhibition "Phytotherapy and homeopathy - 2010".

The organizers express their hope that the realization of the whole complex of scientific-practical events will let them make an integral picture of the modern legal base and condition of medical assistance in the Russian Federation.
